Remembering Pride

Queering the night

‘Remembering Pride: Queering the night’ aims to open a dialog consisting of personal and cultural stories through process and discussion. The event will be created with performances and video/film works from variety of artists working with different medium.

The history of our individuality is crucial when it comes to building up a collective history. Each and every one has their own individual personalities. The purpose of this event is to build a format where each and every personalities can gather around and share their unique personalities and create their 'Personal - Realities'.
“outlining the potential of plural, ambivalent, unstable, and performative expressions of the self, so as to allow for the dissemination of personal, depolarized narratives” (Pg. 155. Kaila, Jan, Anita Seppä and Henk Slager. Futures of Artistic Research: At the Intersection of Utopia, Academia and Power. Helsinki: Academy of Fine Arts, Uniarts Helsinki, 2017)

“To repeat, reuse, rewrite and layer creates rituals which resist the normative narratives that support exploitive power structures.” (artist Syowia Kyambi)

Please come with the open heart, to live and strengthen your beauties by sharing and ultimately to spend this night by being the best version of your selves.

Full outdoor shot of a grayscale image, likely a vintage photograph or film frame. The foreground shows a beach or sandy area. Several indistinct human figures are clustered together, lying or positioned in a way that suggests activity of some kind. The figures lack clear detail, appearing as light or dark shapes against the surrounding sand or water. The scene is somewhat blurred or grainy with a noticeable texture, typical of older photography or scans of film. The overall tonal range is muted, consisting primarily of grays, with subtle variations in shading. No distinct coloration is present. The background is a similar muted gray tone extending out of view, lacking any contrasting light or shadow that would make the figures especially noticeable.
