The exhibition will explore formalistic and minimalistic tendencies in contemporary art with focus on sculpture and painting thereby drafting a possible terminology between Modern and Post-Modern or moreover revealing through selected examples an art praxis which overcomes work aesthetics. Additionally pertinent dichotomies of high and mass culture, avante-garde and commerce, original and copy will undergo critical investigation.
