As part of the evening, the video essay The Future is Near (in the neighborhood) by former kex—residents Natalia Matsenko and Yuri Yefanov will be screened. The event will also feature contributions by Sebastian Sattlecker and Ida Zahradnik, followed by a discussion with the artists.

Here, art is made in the margins – between night feeds and school runs, between loss and life. It is made amidst leaking bodies and small sticky hands, in stolen minutes, in the gendered debris of daily life.

Who Cares? invites staff and representatives of art and cultural institutions as well as artists to explore how care can become part of institutional practice. Together with Miriam Wistreich, Director of UKS, Oslo (Young Artists' Society) the Sharing Session examines how institutions can better support artist-parents and other caregivers through practical tools - specifically through care riders.

From Mexico to Albania, from former Yugoslavia to Afghanistan, from East Germany to Syria, there live generations of people whose sense of reality shattered from one moment to the next: a major shift in their country’s political landscape transformed every aspect of their daily life. Off the Precipice is a curated group exhibition with ten artists from different contexts where such a rupture took place.
