Tying Knots

The exhibition „Knoten knüpfen / Tying Knots“ shows the culmination of agri_culture’s KEX residency at Zukunftshof in the form of an agricultural and cultural archive-in-progress. In the derelict four-floor farmer’s lodge, agri_culture undertakes a three-month intensive restoration project, while paying equal attention to preserving the traces of life and forms of knowledge in the space.

With roots in the storied Zukunftshof ‒ formerly Haschahof, whose brick complex dates to the early 20th century ‒ agri_culture responds to the local challenges of preserving history and revitalizing the site. By focusing on the connections between culture and farming, agri_culture explores programs with ecological, artistic, and educational implications.
